Community Guidelines

The standards that help keep OtakuVerse welcoming and safe.

Be passionate about anime. Be respectful to the people enjoying it with you.

1. Respect other members

Do not harass, bully, shame, threaten or target people because of identity, beliefs, disability, appearance, nationality, gender, sexual orientation or other protected characteristics.

2. Keep sexual and graphic content off the platform

Do not post pornography, sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate content, graphic gore or content sexualising minors. Some mature anime discussion may be allowed when it is non-graphic, properly contextualised and age-appropriate.

3. Protect children

Any content that exploits, endangers, sexualises or attempts to groom a minor is prohibited and may be reported to appropriate authorities.

4. Mark spoilers

Use spoiler controls for major plot events, endings, leaks and newly released episodes. Rooms marked for spoilers may allow broader discussion, but users should still follow room-specific rules.

5. No hate or violent threats

Hate speech, praise of violent extremist activity, credible threats, instructions to harm people and targeted intimidation are prohibited.

6. No spam, fraud or manipulation

Do not mass-post, scam users, sell fake products, manipulate engagement, distribute malware or use automation to disrupt conversations.

7. Respect privacy

Do not expose private personal information, share private messages without a valid reason, impersonate others or encourage coordinated harassment.

8. Respect copyright

Share only content you have permission to use. Credit does not automatically replace permission. Rights holders can use the Copyright Policy to submit a request.

9. Use reports responsibly

Report content that genuinely violates these guidelines. Do not use reports to silence disagreements or target other users.

10. Enforcement

Actions may include warnings, content removal, feature restrictions, temporary suspension or permanent removal. Severe child-safety, violence, fraud and exploitation violations may result in immediate action.
